2009 Richmond Show: They really like us!
Going into Friday night’s 2009 Richmond Show, Carrie and I weren’t really sure what to expect. We had a combined sense of nervousness, excitement and optimism. This was our first time entering the Richmond Show and we were looking forward to seeing how our work measured up against the strongest in town.
The night didn’t disappoint: the food and drinks were delicious, Plant Zero was the perfect venue, and our name was called twice. Two of our entries were honored at the show—a logo designed for White Thread Boutique in Raleigh, NC was given a bronze award in the category of Communication Design, Logos & Trademarks, and the identity system created for Richmond’s Sensei Development was awarded a bronze in the category of Communication Design, Brand and Identity Systems.
It was also a true pleasure to celebrate with Aaron Dotson and Frank Gilliam, owners of Elevation, who were named Ad Persons of the Year. To Frank, Aaron and all of our friends at Elevation, we extend our whole-hearted congratulations!
We’d also like to congratulate all of the other agency winners, as well as numerous student winners from the Richmond area. The work coming out of this town continues to stand with the best in the world, and we are so proud to be a part of it.
More information about the show and the award-winners can be found on the Richmond Ad Club website and via The Richmond Times Dispatch.
