Drivers, start your engines

This weekend is going to be special. In January, 2007, Taylor Gibbs, grandson of Joe Gibbs, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. He was 2 years old. But the Gibbs family was blessed with a fighter, and after enduring over three long years of ongoing pills, shots and spinal taps, Taylor is finally finished with treatment.

Last October, we were given the wonderful opportunity of working with the Gibbs family to help Taylor celebrate. And celebrate we will.

On Sunday, May 23, Taylor’s Finish Line Festival will be held at the ZMAX Drag Strip at Charlotte Motor Speedway. All proceeds generated will be donated to two wonderful organizations who were instrumental in helping Taylor during his battle with cancer: Levine Children’s Hospital and Make-a-Wish Foundation.

Over the last seven months we have been hard at work, partnering with Melissa and J.D. Gibbs to create the graphic identity for Taylor’s Finish Line Festival, encompassing a festival logo system, color palette and typefaces. As well, we designed a stationery system including letterhead and envelopes, a promotional brochure, and signage for the event.

We are extremely proud to have been part of the Finish Line Festival team and are beyond excited watch it all come together this weekend. If you can’t make it to the event, don’t worry—we’ll take cameras and document it thouroughly. Keep your eyes open for a post-festival write-up next week.

If you’re in the Charlotte area, please consider stopping by on Sunday. You’ll be supporting two great organizations, and you’re guaranteed a great time!
